Chief 3B, DJ Mills, arrived on scene with smoke showing from the eves of the roof area. Engine 32, Truck 3, and Chief 3A Clark Embrey arrived on scene moments later as Chief 3B met with the occupant of the residence. Engine 32's crew quickly advanced a 1-¾" preconnect line into the 2-story split level home while Truck 3's crew laddered the building and prepared to vent the roof. The fire was located in the exhaust fan in an upstairs bathroom with some minimal extension into the attic. The responding mutual aid units were placed in service once the fire was determined to be contained. Waldorf units remained on scene for an additional 20 minutes for overhaul before returning to quarters.
