Units were dispatched to Sharpersville Road for an undetermined fire. While enroute, Communications advised they were receiving several calls reporting multiple explosions in the area. Neighboring Prince Georges County also ran their units from the opposite side of Sharpersville Road due to the bridge being closed from both directions. Engine 33, with Chief 3B DJ Mills, located a fully-engulfed car fire at the end of Sharpersville Road. As the crew of Engine 33 began extinguishing the fire, Chief 3B placed the rest of the responding units in service. Charles County Sheriffs Office units determined the vehicle was stolen from Baltimore. The Fire Marshall was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. Engine 33 remained on scene for an hour before returning to quarters.
Waldorf Responding Units: Engine 122, Tanker 12, Engine 32, Safety 12, Safety 3, and Chief 3B.
