April 2, 2152 hrs:
Waldorf units were alerted for a motor vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Berry Road and Greenwood Dr. While enroute, Communications advised the responding units there were reports of one subject possibly ejected. Rescue Squad 3 arrived on the scene shortly after to find a 3-vehicle collision with one subject trapped and no one ejected. Ambulance 37's crew provided care to the trapped victim while the Squad crew removed the passenger side door with the Hurst Maverick and Extractor tools. Once the extrication was complete, the patient was removed from the vehicle and turned over to the care of Medic 21. Ambulance 37 and Ambulance 39 checked the other numerous occupants of the vehicles scattered around the scene but all refused medical treatment. Medic 21 requested a helicopter to transport the extricated victim to an area trauma center. Engine 121 responded to Berry Elementary to setup the landing site for MSP Trooper 2. The patient was flown to Prince Georges Shock Trauma Center. Units cleared the scene at 2239 hours and returned to quarters.
