May 10, 1846hrs:
A structure fire assignment was dispatched for a townhouse fire on Light Arms Place in the Huntington Neighborhood. Engine 33 and Engine 32 arrived on the scene minutes later with a 2-story townhouse with smoke showing from the front door. Firefighters advanced a 1¾" preconnect line into the residence and quickly extinguished a small fire in the kitchen. Crews from Engine 122 and La Plata Truck 1 were assigned to check for extension into the neighboring residences. It was determined the fire was contained to the kitchen area of the original residence with smoke damage throughout the 2 floors. The remaining responding units were placed in service. Units on the scene cleared a short time later.
