June 12, 2004 1536 hrs:
Units from Waldorf were dispatched to a reported townhouse fire on Red Wolf Place in the Hampshire Neighborhood. Engine 121 arrived on the scene with light smoke showing from a 2-story Middle of the Row Townhouse. Engine 121's crew advanced a 1-¾" handline into the residence and put a quick knock on the fire located in the kitchen. Engine 31's crew arrived on scene and assisted with checking for possible extension into the walls. After determining there was no extension of the fire into the rest of the residence or the neighboring unit, Command held the units from Co.12, Engine31, and La Plata Truck 1 for overhaul and smoke removal. Units cleared the scene within 30 minutes and returned to quarters.
