Units from Waldorf were alerted for a motor vehicle collision involving 2 tractor-trailers at the intersection of Crain Highway and St Patricks Drive. Engine 33, with Sgt Jenkins, arrived on scene minutes later with a small delivery truck into the side of a flatbed tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes of Crain Highway. The delivery truck's fuel tank ruptured as a result of the collision and leaked a large quantity of diesel fuel across the highway. Rescue Squad 3 responded to the scene with extra absorbent. Paramedic Ambulance 39 provided care to the driver of the delivery truck as the crews from Eng33 and Squad 3 worked to contain the diesel fuel. Firefighters used putty to temporarily patch the leaking fuel tank and the delivery truck was towed away from the scene.
