High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash
on St Charles Parkway

October 13, 2003 2216hrs:

Units from Waldorf were alerted for a motor vehicle collision in injuries following a high-speed police pursuit on St Charles Parkway near St Paul's Drive. Chief 3A, Rescue Squad 3, and Engine 33 were already rolling out the door after monitoring the pursuit on the police channel when the tones sounded. The units arrived minutes later to find the suspect vehicle involved in a head-on collision with a tree in the median strip. Crews from Eng-33 and Squad 3 provided medical aid to the single occupant who was suffering from several non-life threatening injuries until the arrival of Ambulance 39. The injured driver was transported to CMC hospital in La Plata with a CCSO escort. No CCSO or Civilians were injured in this incident.
