Overturned Vehicle on Crain Highway
with One Reported Trapped

November 22, 2003 0132hrs:

Units from Waldorf were alerted for a reported motor vehicle collision with one subject trapped at the intersection of Crain Highway and Leonardtown Road (Rt 5). Rescue Squad 3 arrived minutes later with a single vehicle overturned in the southbound lanes of Crain Highway. A quick scene sizeup determined the single occupant of the vehicle was not trapped, however he was a Priority One patient with massive head trauma. Ambulance 38 and Medic One provided emergency care while awaiting the helicopter. Engine 121 setup the landing site on scene for MSP Trooper 2. The patient was flown to Prince Georges General Trauma Center. Units cleared the scene within an hour and returned to quarters.
