Serious Vehicle Collision on St Charles
Parkway with One Reported Trapped

December 11, 2003 1724hrs:

Units from Waldorf were alerted for a reported motor vehicle collision with one subject trapped at the intersection of St Charles Parkway and St Marks Drive. While enroute, units were advised CCSO was on scene with one subject unconscious. Chief 3B, DJ Mills, arrived on scene moments later and advised the unconscious patient was not trapped but was a Priority One and requested a helicopter for transport to a trauma center. Rescue Squad 3 arrived on scene and assisted with removing the patient from the vehicle. Engine 121 was rerouted to setup a landing site at Stoddert Middle School. Ambulance 38 and the Paramedic from Ambulance 129 transported the patient to the LZ. MSP Trooper 2 transported the patient to PG General Hospital Trauma Center. Ambulance 27 transported the occupant of the second vehicle to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
