Sheriffs Office Cruiser Burns Up
on Bunker Hill Road

December 14, 2003 0150hrs:

Engine 121 respond for a reported vehicle fire on Bunker Hill Road, just as the snow began to fall in Charles County. Firefighters were quite surprised to find a Sheriffs Office cruiser fully involved when they arrived on scene. The fire was knocked down quickly with the front bumper 1-¾" trash line. The officer advised he had been involved in a foot pursuit in the area and had left the vehicle running with the emergency lights activated. No one was injured in the fire and units cleared the scene a short time later.
