One Trapped in PG County
Motor Vehicle Collision

July 29, 2003 1758hrs:

Rescue Squad 3 was dispatched mutal aid to Prince Georges County for a motor vehicle collision on Accokeek Rd (Rt 373) and McKendree Road. PG County units from Brandywine and Accokeek were already on the scene when Squad 3 arrived with a two car collision and one subject trapped. Squad 3's crew,under the command of Captain Ryan Pagel, immediately went to work to remove the driver's door utilizing the Paladin Hurst tool. The door was quickly removed and the victim extricated from the vehicle. The patient was being prepared for transport by helicopter by the crew from Brandywine Medic 40 when Rescue Squad 3 was requested to run another motor vehicle collision on Crain Highway at Clymer Drive. The Squad's crew quickly packed the equipment back on board and responded to the second call. However, upon arrival of the Squad, the motor vehicle collision was found to be property damage only with no injuries. Rescue Squad 3 placed the second assignment in service and returned to Charles County.
