Units from Waldorf Station 12 responded for a reported motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in the area of Billingsley Road and Hanson Road. Engine 121, under the command of Safety 12 Tom Edwards, arrived on scene with the motorcycle occupant trapped underneath a passenger car. Safety 12 immediately requested a Priority One response for all units and requested Rescue Squad 3 to be added to the assignment. Ambulance 128 and Medic 21 arrived on scene shortly after but were not able to gain access to the patient. E-121's crew rapidly setup their Hurst Airbag system and lifted the vehicle off the patient. Unfortunately, the patient succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced on the scene by Medic 21. Chief 3A Clark Embrey arrived on scene and assumed command from Safety 12. Squad 3 arrived on scene and provided extra cribbing so the vehicle could be left in place for accident reconstruction. Units remained on the scene for under an hour before returning to quarters.
Responding Units: Engine 121, Engine 124, Ambulance 128, Ambulance 399, Medic 21, Chief 3A Clark Embrey
