Engine Company 3 was dispatched mutual aid to Prince Georges County for the motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Crain Highway in front of the Cadillac Motel. Engine 32, under the command of F/F David Klinikowski, arrived on scene shortly after Brandywine Ambulance 409 and Baden Chief 36. The crew from E-32 assisted A409 with rapidly removing the pedestrian from the rear of the car and loading into the ambulance. Chief 36 requested a helicopter for the Priority One patient and E-32 blocked Crain Highway to setup the landing site in the southbound lanes. The patient turned into a trauma code and the helicopter was cancelled. Brandywine Medic 40 arrived on the scene and, after consultation with the hospital, pronounced the patient on scene. E-32's crew assisted with checking the three occupants of the vehicle, who were covered in glass. Waldorf Ambulance 399 was requested to the scene and transported the 19-year-old front seat passenger and her 6-month-old child, who was in the backseat.
