Car Collision in Bryans Road
Leaves 6 Injured, 1 Trapped

August 29, 2003 2209hrs:

Engine 121 and Ambulance 129 were dispatched mutual aid to Bryans Road Company 11 for the motor vehicle collision with reported subjects trapped on Billingsley Road in the area of Cardinal Lane. Engine 121, under the command of Sgt. Bryan Hamilton, arrived on the scene first and found a two-car collision with one subject trapped and a total of 6 patients scattered around the scene. Engine 121's crew began to extricate the trapped subject while Ambulance 129, under the command of Lt/EMT Ginger Daily, began triaging the other 5 patients. Chief 11A arrived on the scene with Bryans Road Engine 113 and assumed the command. Additional ambulances and 2 helicopters were requested to respond to the scene. Two of the patients were Priority One, Critical and life threatening, one patient was Priority Two, and the remaining patients were Priority Three. Once the trapped patient was extricated from the vehicle, Engine 121 responded to the Kings View subdivision and setup a landing site for MSP Troopers 2 and 7. Both Priority One patients and the Priority Two patient were flown to MedStar Trauma Center in Washington, DC.
