House Fire on Blue Anchor Ct.

Waldorf volunteers were alerted to the house fire at the 2000 block of Blue Anchor Ct. in the Wakefield section of Waldorf. Engine 31 arrived to find a 2 story brick, single family dwelling with smoke showing from side A. E-31's crew advanced the 200' pre-connected 1-¾" attack line into the structure. Crews found a small, working fire in the lower level, quadrant C/D. A quick extinguishment of the fire was made. Truck 1 and Eng. 121 arrived and assisted with checking for extension and overhaul. The fire was contained to the room of origin. The assignment was held with Eng Co's 3, 12, and Truck 1. The American Red Cross assisted the family with housing arrangements. Deputy Fire Chief Mills had Operations. Lt. Duer had interior. There were no injuries to report. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. Last unit cleared at 1830hrs.
