Rescue Squad 3 extricates 1 in P.G. County

During the early morning hours and into the afternoon on January 8th volunteers all over Charles County were kept busy with multiple vehicle accidents due to the icing of the puddles and ponding water left on the roadways from the previous nights rain. While clearing an accident on Western Parkway Rescue Squad 3 was alerted to the 15000 block of McKendree Rd for the auto accident. Rescue Squad 3 and Chief 3 B responded on the call with Chief 3 B arriving on the scene to find one vehicle into a tree with one trapped. RS-3 arrived next and began extricating the patient from the vehicle. The Rescue removed the drivers and passengers doors and then removed the roof to gain access to the patient. E-840 stood by with a protection line while the extrication took place. Chief 3 B had the Brandywine Command.
