Working Fire - Reported People Trapped

Units were alerted for the reported house fire with subjects trapped on Copley Avenue. Engine 121 and Engine 33 arrived on scene to find a 2-story residence with heavy smoke and fire showing. The occupant that was reported trapped jumped from a 2nd story window and landed on the car in the driveway prior to the arrival the 1st units. Truck 1 arrived on scene as crews advanced 2 attack lines into the residence. As the engine companies got a knock on the fire, the truck crew began clearing windows and performing a search for any additional occupants. As additional units arrived, Command (Chief 3B) directed personnel to assist with secondary searches and securing utilities of the residence. No additional occupants were located in the residence. Command scaled the incident back to units from Waldorf and La Plata for overhaul. The cause of the fire was determined to be from a candle located in the basement.
