MVA, One Subject Trapped

Station 12 was alerted Marshall Corner Rd, and Bennsville Rd for a Motor Vehicle accident with one subject trapped. Fire and EMS units for Co. 12 arrived on the scene to find a two vehicle, head on accident, with confirmed entrapment of one patient. With major entrusion into the passenger compartment, extrication equipment from Both Engine 121, and Rescue Engine 123 were utilized to free the patient in about 15 minutes. Two helicopters were requested. MSP Trooper 2, and US Park Police Eagle 2 were both landed in a field at the accident scene. Bryans Road VFD Tanker 11 handled the landing site. A total of 3 patients were involved in the accident, 2 adults, which were both flown to PG Trauma center, and an infant transported to Civsta Medical Center for a check up. Chief 12-B established the Marshall Corner Rd. Command, and EMS Chief 12-B handled the EMS sector. Other units assisting on the call were Amb-129, Paramedic Ambulance 119, Paramedic Ambulance 38, Ems Duty Officer 16-B.
