Auto Fire on Middletown Road

February 23, 1606 hrs:

Company 12 was dispatched for an autp fire at 3150 Middletown Road at the Lighthouse Baptist Church. A citizen noticed his car was on fire and pulled into the parking lot of the church and called 911. Engine 121 and Tanker 12 responded to the call. Upon arrival Engine 121 extended the 100' trash line to the car that had the engine compartment well involved in fire, with some extension into the passenger compartment. The vehicle owner advised the Engine's officer that there was a full Nitrous Oxide tank in the trunck. Upon extinguishment of the fire, the Nitrous Oxide tank was removed from the vehicle and secured with the owner. Units were cleared at 1637 hrs.
