Fatal MVC in Accokeek

Squad 3 was dispatched for the car accident in the area of Accokeek Road and Berry Road. Communications advised that people were trapped and that the auto was on fire. Upon arriving on the scene, RS-3 provided lighting as E-241 extinguished the fire. Pepco arrived and deenergized the downed wires on the scene, and Squad 3 extricated one victim from the vehicle. One other patient had climbed out of the vehicle prior and was treated by Amb-249 and Medic 40 and transported by Trooper 2. Units remained on the scene for the Accident Reconstruction team and the arrival of the Medical Examiner. RS-3 cleared the scene near midnight.
