Units from Charles, St. Mary’s, and Calvert Counties were alerted to Deborah Dr. in Hughesvile for the house fire. Truck 3 responded with 7 volunteers and arrived on the scene with fire showing from the second floor and attic area. Truck 3 split into 3 crews with the Truck Driver and Tiller-man throwing the 35’, 24’ and 16’ ladders to the second floor, the OIC, Barman, and Hook-man going to the second floor to open up for the engine companies and the outside vent and axe-man running lights to the house then meeting up with the interior crews to assist in searching and opening up. The truck was initially set up for ladder pipe operations however with an aggressive interior operation with a 2 ½" inch line and several small hand lines the ladder-pipe was never used. A total of 4 ladders, 6 Circle “D” lights, 3 cord reels, 2 smoke ejectors, 1 PPV fan, and 2 portable generators were used from the Truck. All units from the three counties worked well together and there were no injuries reported. Truck 3 returned to quarters at 0200 hrs.
