Car Struck by Tractor-Trailer

 

 

 

 

May 26, 1739 hrs

Units from Waldorf were dispatched to Leonardtown Road and Renner Road, for the MVA. The accident was witnessed by Chief 12B, who called the incident in, advising one ejected and requested a helicopter immediately. RS-3, E-32 and Chief 3B responded, and found one vehicle which had been struck in the side by a tractor-trailer. One patient was ejected from the vehicle, and was transported to SMHC by Paramedic Ambulance 38. Although Chief 12B requested the medievac immediately after the accident, they were grounded due to weather conditions.

At the same time of this incident, Waldorf volunteers also had an extrication on Old Washington Rd & Terrace Dr., which was handled by E-121 and E-31.
