Volunteers run 35 calls in 24-hour period

On Wednesday company 3 had an exceptionally busy day running 35 calls due to severe storms coming through the area. There were numerous tree downs power lines down and trees down on houses, and subjects stuck on elevators due to power failure. During the peak of the storm there was a partial building collapse and a house struck by lighting in the White Oak Sub division that had fire in the attic. The Volunteers of Waldorf had 5 pieces of apparatus out at any given time responding all over Waldorf. Companies from Laplata, Bel-Alton, Marbury, Newburg, Hughesville, and Indian Head were all responding on calls as well during the storm.
