Units from Waldorf responded to a reported apartment fire in the New Forest Apartment complex on July 4, 2006 at 0812. Rescue Engine 121 arrived on the scene to find a two-story garden apartment with heavy fire coming from the 1st floor apartment. Chief 12-A assumed command while RE-121s crew; F/F Branch and F/F Kmetz made entry into the first floor apartment with a 13/4" cross lay and was met at the door with heavy fire conditions, and Capt. Jacobs assumed the division one operation. Chief 3A also arrived on scene to assume Fireground Operations. E-122 arrived on the scene and established water supplied for RE-121. E-32 arrived on-scene and advanced a second attack line to the second floor apartment. Truck 1 arrived on scent and laddered the roof while Chief 1A assumed the Division 2 Operations on the second floor. Truck 1 completed two roof cuts for ventilation. The fire was brought under control and extinguished with in 30 minutes. Other units responding were Engine 401, Engine 113, Engine 124, Tower 24, Squad 7, Brush 12, Utility 12 Ambulance 128
