10-50 PI, Overturned
at Smallwood Dr. & Chandler Ct.

July 19, 1845 hrs

Station 3 was alerted to Smallwood Dr. in the area of Chandler Ct. for the 10-50 with one overturned in the median strip. Squad 3 and Chief 3B responded with 6 volunteers and arrived on the scene to find an SUV lying on its side with one trapped in the vehicle. Squad 3 stabilized the vehicle using the Rescue 42 Struts, placed a member in the vehicle for patient care, and flapped the roof of the SUV to free the patient. Once the patient was accessible awaiting ALS and BLS crews from EMS 3 took over patient care. A medevac was requested due to the SUV rolling over several times and the patient was taken to the landing site at Arthur Middleton Elementary School where Engine 31 set up the L.Z. chief 3B held the Waldorf Command.
