Garage fire off of Shlagel Rd

Just after midnight, units from Company 3 were alerted to Shlagel Rd for the undetermined fire. Chief 3B arrived on the scene at the end of Shlagel Rd to find a garage about 100 ft long by 20 ft wide fully involved and requested the assignment be filled for a working garage fire. Engine 31 arrived next and laid in from the driveway leaving room for Tankers to shuttle water and deployed a 1 ¾" line in between the garage and a house that was about 30 ft from the garage. Chief 3B assumed the Shlagel Rd Command until the arrival of Chief 3. Engine 840 arrived on the scene as the second due engine and laid a second line in and deployed a 2 ½" line along with Engine 121 who deployed a second 1 ¾" line to the fire to assist Engine 31 with extinguishment. Tanker 12 arrived on the scene and was given the water supply duties with Tankers 836, 2, and 1 and Engine 33 assigned to water supply. Truck 825, Chief 825, Engine 11 and Squad‘s 2 and 3 worked together to remove several old style cylinders and old farm equipment from the garage for about 1 hour. Chief 3 had the Command with Chief 3B having operations units worked on the scene for about 2 hours total.
