Truck 3 was alerted to the Chalk Point Power Plant in Baden as the second due Truck. Truck 3 responded with a crew of 4 and arrived accordingly as the second due truck, however was told to stage and wait for other ladder trucks coming from greater distances. So Truck 3 staged behind Engine 52 and waited for instructions or even an assignment from command. Engine 31 was dispatched as the 1st due Engine on the second alarm and Engine 121 was the second due Engine. Engine 31 was assigned to the Safety Group along with Engine 121. Engine 31’s driver was then instructed to assist water supply with supplying Tower 824. As units on the second alarm were given assignments Truck 3 still was not utilized. Finally after about 40 minutes Truck 3 was given an assignment to relieve Tower 2’s crew operating in the Bucket. Units from Waldorf operated on the scene for about 2 hours before returning to service.
