Fire Apparatus Committee Travels
to ALF Facility in Hamburg, NY

July 19, 2004:

5 members of the Fire Apparatus Committee traveled to the American LaFrance facility in Hamburg, New York for an inspection of new Engine 31. The team traveled on Sunday afternoon up to New York in order to be able to spend a full day at the Hamburg facility on Monday. Several minor problems were found and corrective actions will be taken, but in all the team was very pleased with the apparatus. The current schedule of construction will have the apparatus completed in approximately 3-4 weeks. The Apparatus Committee will be making one more trip to Hamburg in mid-August for the final inspection on new Engine 31.
