Extrication on Crain Highway

Units from Company 3 were dispatched to Northbound Crain Highway, between Billingsley Road and Smallwood Drive for the MVA. RS-3, E-31 and Chief 3A responded from quarters. While enroute, Communications advised the units that police on the scene reported that there was one subject trapped, in the vehicle on it's side in the woods At this time, Engine Company 12 was also added to the assignment.

RS-3 arrived on the scene, utilized rescue 42's to stabilize the vehicle. The crew then flapped the roof at the B post and with assistance from Company 12, packaged the patient for transport. Medics from 60 evaluated the patient and requested the helicopter for transport to the trauma center.

Units were on scene fore about one hour and Chief 3A had the Crain Highway command.
