House Fire in PG County

August 22, 1158 hrs
 

Waldorf Volunteers were dispatched for a house fire on Spring Grove Rd. in Accokeek. E-32 and Command 3 responded, with a total of 4 volunteers, and E-122 responded with 4 volunteers. Upon arriving on the scene, E-32's and E-122's crews assisted in opening up on the first & second floor and extinguishing hotspots. While this was being done, E-32's crew also performed a primary and secondary search of the basement, first floor and second floor. Captain 3 had command until he was relieved by Batt-5, then was assigned Operations by Batt-5.

Units were held for 45 minutes. The fire is being investigated by the PGFD Fire Marshalls Office.
