House Fire in Brandywine

Rescue Squad 3 was dispatched at 1824 hrs for the reported house fire in the area of 13130 Martin Rd. in Brandywine. Engine 402 arrived on scene and reported a working fire fully involved 2-story single-family dwelling, and will be performing exterior operations only. Rescue Squad 3 arrived on scene and was instructed to assist 24A with extinguishing the fire on side Charlie and in the basement area. When command deemed that the fire was contained with hand lines and secured a steady water supply, they decided to go heavy-duty pre-piped waterway on Tower Ladder 24. Tower Ladder 24 operated for approximately 30 then they shut it down to have Rescue Squad 3, Engine Company’s 36, 40, Truck 32, and Tower Ladder 24 go in and perform salvage and overhaul operations. Rescue Squad 3 cleared at 2157.
