Companies 3 and 12 were dispatched for a working house fire with possible subjects trapped in the 2300 block of Kanegis Court. E-33 arrived on scene with a well involved garage with extension to the second floor, and attic of the house. Engine 33 layed dual supply lines, and advanced an 1 3/4" attack line into the structure. RE-123 picked up E-33's supply lines, and also advanced a 1 3/4" backup line into the structure. Heavy fire was found on the second floor, and attic area . Chief 3B had the initial command, and then took over interior operations. Chief 3 then assumed command with Duty 12 taking accountability, and Chief 1A had Division 2 lead. E-121 arrived on scene, and several attack lines were deployed to assist in fire supression. Squad 7, and P.G. Tower 24 conducted the primary search. Truck 11 was added for the special alarm upgrade, and assisted units on scene with various operations. During fire supression operations two firefighters from Company 12 suffered minor injuries when struck by falling debris from the roof to the second floor. They were transported to Civista Medical Center, and released several hours later. With the fire supressed, crews pulled out so the Fire Marshal could begin his investigation. Firefighter crews entered the structure again to conduct overhaul operartions, and mop up any hot spots that remained. All crews operated on scene for about three and half hours. The Fire Marshal is still continuing his investigation, but believes the incident to be accidental at this time.
