reported by Deputy Chief 3 D.J. Mills

Units were alerted to 11820 Edmont Pl for smoke coming from the townhouse. E-31 arrived on the scene with their own hydrant and nothing evident. Just as the front door was opened, smoke started billowing out of the townhouse. E-31 located a fire on the first floor and in the garage area and extinguished the same. RS-40 arrived second and secured the power, opened up the fire rooms and completed the primary, which was negative. Chief 3B arrived next, assuming the Waldorf Command and had E-361 and Truck-1 check the floors above for any extension. After units advised that there was no extension, Command held E-31, RS-40 and Truck-1. Command was then transferred to Chief 3. Units operated on the scene for 1½ hours before returning to service.

Waldorf Units: E-31, RE-121, Chiefs 3 and 3B
