Fatal MVA on Crain Highway

September 13, 0340 hrs

Units from Waldorf were dispatched for an MVA with subjects trapped, on Crain Highway. RS-3 and Medic 167 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle that had struck the rear of a stopped logging trailer. The CCSO and MSP advised the crew that there was a possible priority 4 patient in the vehicle. Medic 167 determined that the patient was deceased. RS-3 remained on the scene to provide lights for the MSP accident reconstruction team, and to wait for the arrival of the Chief Medical Examiner. After the reconstruction team gathered information and evidence, RS-3 extricated the patient from the vehicle for the CME.
