Vehicle Fire with Extension to a Boat

October 23, 0318 hours

While Engine 33 was on the landing site for Trooper 2 at Thomas Stone High School, Communications alerted Fire 3, Tanker 12, Hughesville Company 2, and La Plata Truck 1 for a reported vehicle fire with extension to a boat on Zehiah Drive. Engine 32 and Engine 33 arrived on scene with a working fire involving a pickup truck and a large boat. Crews stretched a 200ft 1-3/4" attack line and knocked the bulk of the fire down within minutes. Units remained on scene for over an hour performing overhaul. Tanker 12 provided 1 tank of water (2900 gallons) to the units on the scene. The fire is currently under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshals office.
