Bus Flips, Two Flown

Waldorf Fire and EMS Stations 3 and 12 were alerted for the motor vehicle collision, involving a school bus. Rescue Squad 3 arrived to find a two-vehicle accident involving a day care bus that had flipped onto the driver’s side and a pick up truck at the intersection of Smallwood Drive east and southbound Stone Avenue. It was determined that there were no occupants trapped on the bus or the pick up truck. Several patients had been removed prior to the department’s arrival. A total of 6 patients were transported. One 34 y/o male, one 6 y/o male were transported by Trooper 2 to Med Star and Children’s Hospital. The remaining patients were transported to Civista Medical Center in La Plata. Captain 3 (Dypsky) had command, Lt. 3 (Duer) operations, and Chief 16 EMS sector.
