Fatal MVA on Billingsley Rd.

Station 12 was dispatched for a personal injury accident on Billingsley Road at Hanson Road in White Plains. First arriving Rescue Engine 121 found a passenger vehicle into a tree. Upon investigation they found one victim trapped in the vehicle. Lieutenant 12 Tom Edwards established the Billingsley Road command and requested Rescue Squad 3 and a second medic unit. Rescue Engine 121’s started extrication of the victim. Upon arrival, Squad 3 put three more tools in service, and completed the extrication. The victim, a 16 year old male was unresponsive and not breathing. Upon extrication crews from Paramedic Ambulance 128 and Ambulance 38 started CPR and other lifesaving procedures. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The wet roads and speed appeared to be the major factor in the accident. Chief 12 A JR Hayden was the incident commander.
