House Fire on Bridle Path Dr.

 

 

 

 

November 14, 1810 hours
 

Waldorf Volunteer Fire Stations 3 and 12 were alerted for the single family house fire at 2221 Bridle Path Drive, in the Fox Run neighborhood. Engine 122 arrived on the scene with smoke showing from a two-story detatched home. Engine 33 secured E-122's water supply line. E-122's crew pulled an 1-3/4" attack line and advanced it to the second floor, where they found the kitchen area of the house involved. E-33's crew pulled a backup line off of E-33. RS-3 arrived on the scene, ventilated and provided lights, performed primary and secondary search and secured utilities. E-31 laid a secondary supply line. E-241 picked up E-31's line. Truck 11 and RS-7 were placed in service enroute. Chief 3 had Command, Chief 3A had Operations, and Lt. Jenkins had Interior.

Units from Waldorf were held for about an hour, performing salvage and overhaul. The Maryland State Fire Marshal arrived on the scene and determined the cause of fire to accidental in nature.

The American Red Cross Charles County Chapter was requested to provide assistance to the displaced occupants.
