Serious MVA w/Medevac

A call was received for Station 12 for a personal injury accident involving an SUV into a tree at 9780 Marshall Corner Road in White Plains. Upon arrival, Rescue Engine 121, under the command of Lieutenant 12 Tom Edwards, found a large Humvee into a tree with the driver trapped in the vehicle and signigicant vehicular damage. Lieutenant Edwards immediately asked for an entrapment upgrade and established the Marshall Corner Road command. The upgraded assignment included Rescue Squad 3 and Medic 609. The crew from Rescue Engine 121 was able to disentangle the injured driver from the vehicle, and after establishing there were no other people in the vehicle, command returned the heavy rescue squad from Company 3. A helicopter was requested for the injured driver and the landing site was handled by Engine 122. The driver was transported as a priority 2 patient to the landing site and flown to Prince Georges Hospital.
