Waldorf VFD Honored at
Red Robin Grand Opening

November 8, 2004:

In preparation of the Grand Opening of the Red Robin Restaurant in the new Waldorf Market Place Shopping Center, members of the Waldorf VFD were invited to participate in several preopening festivities. On Saturday November 6, members were invited to a special preview by invitation only of the services and food. Fire and EMS apparatus were on display to the public all throughout the day as members enjoyed great meals inside. Crews from all 4 divisions rotated through the day and no one left hungry.

On Monday November 8, members attended the official public Grand Opening Ceremony. Chief Dan Stevens was presented a check for $.50 from every burger to be sold during the grand opening week. Chief Stevens thanked the entire Red Robin Corporation for their donation to the department and the installation of an automatic sprinkler system with fire department connection. After the ribbon was cut, members were treated to another great lunch courtesy of the Red Robin.

On behalf of the Waldorf VFD, we would like to thank the employees and management of the Waldorf Red Robin Restaurant for their outstanding service and support of our department. Good luck and keep the great food coming!!
