December 4, 0021 hours | |||
Shortly after midnight, Truck Co. 3 was alerted for a house fire at Livingston Road and Pine Lane, in PG Co. 24's area. Truck 3 responded with 7 volunteers. Chief 24-A arrived on the scene, single story detached, fire showing through the roof, requesting a task force. The task force brought E-122, who responded with 5 volunteers. Truck 3 arrived as the first-arriving special service, but due to previous arriving apparatus' placement, T-3 dropped the crew and their tools 100' from the house and backed out and drove around to the front of the home. The Truck crew perfomed a primary search, secured utilities and hooked copious amounts of ceiling. Once T-3 arrived on side A, lights were run into the structure. As crews were mopping up, CC Chief 11-B noticed the neighboring house under construction on side D had smoke showing from the eave area. The units remaining on the scene forced entry into the neighboring house under construction and found the stairs going to the basement were on fire. The Truck company was held for a few hours to assist the investigators with lights. E-121 was returned to service once the fire was extinguished and filled in at PG Co. 24.
