House Fire on Willets Crossing Rd

Just after midnight, units from Waldorf Stations 3 and 12 were alerted to Willets Crossing Rd. for the house on fire. Engine 31 went on the scene with light smoke showing and located a fire burning in the rear of the house in a screened in rear porch area. Engine 31 extinguished the fire while Truck 1 checked for extension. Chief 3B advised communications to hold the units from 3 and 1 and that E-31 would have the command. Truck 1 ventilated the home and awaited the arrival of the M.S.F.M. medic 608 and Amb-39 checked young child on the scene for possible smoke inhalation. Units operated on the scene for about an hour.
