All crew's encountered mild to heavey smoke conditions, but could not see any visible flames. The fire was found on the first floor in the utility room, but had partially self extinguished. The remainding smoldering embers were extinguished, and the residence was ventilated. E-12, and Truck 11 checked for any extention in the fire room, while E-121 and E-33 checked the second floor. No extention was found, so command started down grading the assignment. The State Fire Marshal was called to investigate the source of the fire. It was determined that the cause of the fire was a faulty electrical outlet, and approximately $15,000.00 in damages were estimated. Crews operated on scene for about an hour and forty minutes. Command was terminated, and the scene handed back to the homeowners.
