WVFD Auxiliary
Supporting Our Community
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department is a dedicated group of neighbors who stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our firefighters — not on the fireground, but everywhere else it counts. From the kitchen during a long overnight call to the planning table for our biggest fundraisers, our members give their time, talent, and heart to keep this department strong.
The mission of our Auxiliary is to unite as a body to assist the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Dept Inc in their efforts to provide and maintain a high standard of Service within the Department and the community it serves.
The Auxiliary administers our Department's Annual Fund Drive. Several fund-raising events are also held yearly. Good Friday Fish Fry, Pancake Supper, monthly raffles along with Community Outreach fund-raising events with local restaurants. All proceeds from these events are given to our Fire & EMS members to support their needs serving the local community.
The Auxiliary also provides rehab refreshments to our Volunteers at the scene of a Fire or EMS emergency when requested.
The Auxiliary was started in 1950 and we still today are proud to support our "All Volunteer First Responders."

How To Join
Have a few hours a month and a heart for your community? We'd love to welcome you to the Waldorf VFD Auxiliary.
You don't need any special background — just a willingness to lend a hand and a desire to support the firefighters who protect our families and neighbors. Our members come from every corner of Waldorf and every stage of life: longtime residents and newcomers, working professionals and retirees, busy parents and empty-nesters. What we share is a belief that this community is worth showing up for.
As a member, you'll help plan our events, work alongside good people at the firehouse, build friendships that last for years, and see firsthand the difference your time makes for WVFD. Some members put in a few hours when they can; others find it becomes one of the most meaningful parts of their week. There's a place for every level of involvement.
