The Waldorf VFD, Inc., is an all-volunteer organization focused on developing and maintaining highly committed support staff, leaders, and emergency providers through training, education, and engagement with the community we serve.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., is to provide the highest quality of emergency services to those who live, work, visit, or travel through the greater Waldorf area through the preservation of life as well as the protection of property and the environment.

The core values of the Waldorf VFD, Inc., include:
Respect — members will:
- treat every person with dignity in an unbiased, courteous, and professional manner;
- be self-controlled and respond appropriately when dealing with the community, other public safety agencies, and other WVFD members;
- treat the property of others with as much care as possible based on circumstances of an event or incident.
Integrity — members will:
- uphold the trust of the community and our members by being honest at all times;
- maintain the highest ethical standards and a moral character at all times;
- preform all duties of any WVFD position(s) or office elected or appointed to or as a general member.
Professionalism — members will:
- be competent in their respective disciplines of emergency services and seek opportunities for higher levels of competency;
- communicate with others in a clear, concise, and respectful tone;
- work collaboratively within and outside of the Department to provide the best emergency services to the community;
- dress in a way that makes a good first impression to those outside of the Department and represents the highest traditions of the fire/EMS service.
